Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Associate to lead an EdTech funded project within our organization. This role includes ensuring that all project milestones and deliverables are fulfilled according to the project plan, coordinating with various stakeholders, and leading the project team. The Project Associate will play a crucial role in driving the successful implementation of the project, working closely with the Country Manager AAF – Tanzania, Director of Digital Transformation and serving as the focal point of contact for Imagine Worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and implement the EdTech project in alignment with organizational/donor goals and objectives.
- Coordinate project activities, timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring that all activities are executed according to the project plan
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the donor, ensuring effective communication and reporting on project progress and impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate EdTech solutions into existing systems and processes.
- Manage project risks, issues and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Lead and support project team members fostering a collaborative and results driven work environment.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, donor guidelines and legal/regulatory standards.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions for teachers and community engagement meetings.
- Support the Technical/IT Specialist in providing technical training and support for project staff and school personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Project Management, or a related field to ICT.
- Proven experience in managing teams and leading projects to successful completion.
- Strong leadership and communication skills and with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of digital transformation trends and technologies.
- Experience working with young people in schools, donors and managing donor funded projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with the education system and cultural context of Tanzania is a plus.
