Logistics Coordinator at UpEnergy Tanzania

About the role:

The Logistics Coordinator role is a vital role in making sure that there's efficient logistics for people and UpEnergy products to the market in Tanzania and coordination of warehouse operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the organisation transportation procedures and ensure prompt and accurate movement of UpEnergy Products and materials, e.g. Cook Stoves, EPC
• Monitor Fuel consumption of logistics vehicles to ensure cost management
• Arrange timely vehicle schedules and other logistical arrangements. (Fueling of Distributors motor vehicles)
• Communicate with suppliers and other key stakeholders on proper transportation of goods and materials.
• Arrange timely vehicle schedules and other logistical arrangements.
• Supervise the Drivers and monitor their movement.
• Report timely and accurately to management any incidents, accidents in relation to vehicle movement, mismanagement, fraud.
• Prepare and provide the fuel consumption reports, including making retirements
• Support with the team leads and distribution team with operations manager
• To perform any duties that will be assigned by your line manager and management
• To mediate any conflict among agents and drivers.
• Support warehouse operation i.e., issuance of stoves.
• Coordinate receiving, loading, and offloading of raw materials and company products.
• Manage warehouse arrangement.
• Assist in developing and implementing warehouse processes and improvements.
• Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the line management from time to time

Does this sound like you?

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
• Experience with logistics software and inventory systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) is an advantage.
