Sales And Marketing Manager

The applications are expected from the right candidate for a 4-star Beach Hotel opened recently in Nungwi, Zanzibar. The salary and the perks is negotiable and it depends on the background and the experience of the candidate. Spearheads sales and revenue growth efforts through proactive sales and marketing initiatives to promote the hotel property and services (events, accommodation, Food, and beverages); ensuring the achievement of set targets.

Main Responsibilities
• Develops and executes approved sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets. This includes direct selling, telemarketing, and selling; warm/cold marketing, digital marketing; networking events; and other businesses including Travel and tour operators
• Identifies and plans around new markets and business opportunities to increase sales
• Represent the Hotel in relevant industry events and/or exhibitions as directed
• Prepares and presents proposals, contracts, and quotations for Clients in collaboration with GM
• Supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
• Contributes to overall hotel service excellence improvement, including responding and addressing to customer suggestions, complaints, etc
• Manages and develops relationships with wide range of stakeholders within/or affecting industry or business including guests, regulators, industry partners, etc
• Compiles sales and marketing reports for management reference

Prerequisites:
• Proven success in a similar or related role in hotel industry with 3 to 4 years of work experience
• Excellent customer service
• Excellent knowledge of sales and marketing techniques applicable in the hotel industry
• Results driven, self-motivated.
• Polished and able to deliver presentations with warm, confident and hospitable personality
• Adequate training in sales, marketing, customer service, presentation etc
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili
• Bachelor degree in hotel and tourism, hospitality, business or any relevant
