About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resort Island Manager in a Tanzania, on a remote, island location.

  • Oversee the full island operations, ensuring seamless coordination between departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
  • Curate and programme exceptional guest experiences, including personalised moments and themed events, by collaborating with key departments to deliver unforgettable stays that reflect the island’s unique character and the resort’s luxury standards.
  • Drive financial performance through effective yield and revenue management strategies, cost control, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure all services and operations are delivered in line with brand standards and guest expectations, maintaining the highest levels of luxury and personalized service.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop departmental leaders to build high-performing teams, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster strong guest relationships through regular interaction, personal engagement, and effective handling of feedback to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience of 2–3 years in a similar engineering role, ideally within the hospitality or luxury resort sector
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience in guiding project teams
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong project management capabilities and a creative approach to technical challenges
