Reconciliation and Settlement Officer at PalmPay

The ideal role holder will be responsible for the daily fund transfer, merchant settlement, and reconciliation. resolving all issues arising from electronic transactions, engaging Banks, MMOs, PSPs, and other Partners to improve service delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Process daily fund transfers through various payment platforms.
• Monitor daily fund position and cash flow with funding arrangement.
• Bank/wallet account management, including account opening/closing.
• Responsible for merchant settlement and reconciliation.
• Attend to customer and merchant disputes and ensure prompt resolution.
• Work with banks and aggregators on settlement discrepancies resolutions.
• Ensure daily validation of transaction posting on the system.

Qualification & Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financing.
• At least 2 years of working experience within Digital Financial Institutions or Banking industry for recon or settlement roles with online banking and other electronic payment systems.
• Creative thinker and problem solver who can resolve issues timely and efficiently.
• Keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and focus on customer experience and outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills internally and externally.
• In-depth knowledge of recon & settlement processing.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suites.
• English must be working level.
• Results-oriented.

Prefer candidates from Banks (CRDB, NMB, NBC, Exim, KCB, Equity, ABSA), PSP (Fast Hub, UBX), and MMOs (M-pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money).
