Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
• Advise management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Proven work experience as an accountant or in a relevant field.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or relevant certification.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
