Job Description
To support the department in identifying and preventing failures on heavy equipment, to improve operational practices through monitoring and feedback via radio then to capture KPI’s of alarms and events on a weekly and monthly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School Education Certificate with VETA Level One/ Two in Auto Electrical/ Heavy Duty Mechanics/ Full Technician Certificates or Diploma in Auto electrical/Heavy Duty Mechanics.
- Must have Computer knowledge.
- Possession of Valid Tanzanian driving license will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of Mobile Equipment Electronic Condition monitoring. (Mine Care) will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years working experience on CAT machines proven deem competent on CAT Troubleshooting using CAT VIMS and CAT ET.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the Asset & Reliability Superintendent with Mine Care analysis and interpretation.
- In conjunction with process owners / managers prepare business case opportunities and submit the appropriate test applications to the standards committee for their consideration and approval.
- Document potential cost savings as identified from process improvement opportunities
- Deliver process improvement training to end users.
- Identify benefits realization targets and ensure these are achieved on each project
- Track the implementation of agreed process improvement projects and present findings and recommendations to Asset & Reliability Superintendent.
- Develop and support data capture and data management processes for core systems to support the delivery of identified projects.
- Monitor and report on the process performance against the agreed measurement standards and KPI criteria.
- Maintain weekly / monthly status reports to key stakeholders tracking the status of the improvement project
- Document and monitor business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures because of improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the facilitation of team sessions to encourage involvement and understanding of all aspects of the change.
- Ensure the appropriate change expertise is engaged during the project as appropriate to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Advise your manager if you do not understand the work they have assigned to you, or if the assignment does not fit with your knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time and resources.
- Advise your manager of any situations or conditions that could create obstacles to, or opportunities for, the work of the managerial team or company.
- Demonstrate work behaviours consistent with the company values and work within prescribed boundaries, including required behaviours, company policies, standards, procedures and legislation requirements.
- Disclose timely information to your manager when accountability cannot be met within limits or can be met with less time or resources than planned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sound knowledge on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to composure under stressful situations and conflicting priorities.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English.
- Demonstrate a good commitment to deriver.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
