Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Automotive Engineer based in , Tanzania. The Automotive Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to automotive engineering, electronics, communication, and analytical skills in the development of custom-made vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and rescue vehicles.

Job Description

  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicles, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies to effectively identify issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source quality materials and components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
  • Oversee vehicle assembly and modification processes, ensuring precision and quality control at every stage of production.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and maintenance manuals, to aid in future repairs and service.
  • Conduct performance testing on vehicles under various conditions, analyzing data to enhance efficiency and safety features.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for automotive fleets, optimizing overall vehicle performance.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and industry trends, implementing innovative solutions to enhance vehicle design.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field is essential for understanding complex vehicle systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive engineering or technical roles, preferably in the Tanzanian automotive landscape.
  • Proficiency in English and Swahili is required to facilitate effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a focus on analytical thinking and creativity in developing solutions.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and operate machinery safely and effectively.
