Job Description

Mount Meru Hotel is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, a commitment to quality, and a desire to create delicious and memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Assist with menu planning and development.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor and control food inventory.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with receiving and storing food supplies.

Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members.  
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
