Main purpose of job:
The British High Commission in Dar es Salaam is seeking a self-starter, versatile and energetic person to join our Technical Works Group (TWG) Team as a TWG Assistant/Gardner. The TWG team is part of Estates Team responsible for the maintenance and building work for the High Commission’s Office and Residential properties.
The role involves managing a large garden. This person would be expected to follow and create schedules to ensure that the garden is always looking its best. They will need to be able to complete manual work and have a good level of experience with gardening tools (although training will be given for the electrical tools). They must be able to plan workloads and work with other members of the team. They will need to report back to management about any risks or works that need completing that they cannot complete.
