Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Activity

• Develop security procedures and guidelines (20%)

End Results

• Robust security measures to mitigate security risks.

Activity

• Monitoring and analysis of security threats and adopting security measures to mitigate against the risks assessed. (50%)

• Proactive mitigation of security risks to minimize loss and disruptions.

Activity

• Compile various safety and security reports (5%)

• Quality reports compiled and submitted timely

• Security Investigations (5%)

• Establishing of root causes for security incidents and ensuring that they are well mitigated to prevent reoccurrence. (5%)

• Management of security contractors (10%)

• Maximum performance of the security company and other security-related service providers. (10%)

• Increased security and safety awareness amongst employees and key partners.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

• At least 4 years experience in a proven security field public or private institution
• Experience in humanitarian work is an added value
• Has strong relating and networking skills
• Experience in investigations
• Experience in conducting security risk assessments

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

• Degree in law, military, social science, or any relevant qualification from a recognized institution
• No previous criminal records

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

• Computer literacy
• Report writing

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

• Refugee camps

Physical Requirements

• Should be physically fit

Language Requirements

• Proficient in English and Swahili (Written & Spoken)

• They will be carrying out food distribution and other project activities. Effective communication is required so that these staff can be well supported.
