Revenue Accountant at Flightlink Tanzania

Flightlink Tanzania is looking for an experienced Revenue Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Revenue Streams: Track ticket collection and financial records.
• Reconcile Accounts: Ensure accurate fare collection and financial records.
• Analyze Revenue Data: Identify trends and discrepancies for reporting.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to accounting standards and airline regulations.
• Support Audits: Prepare financial documents for internal and external audits.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the airline industry, including sales, cargo, and ancillary income.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other data analysis functions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of airline industry revenue accounting practices. Experience with interline agreements and proration is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
• Experience with airline revenue management systems.
