Job Description

The Hotel Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the hotel, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimizing profitability. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, cash flow management, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager will also ensure that accounting policies align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Develop and monitor hotel budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Implement cost control measures to enhance revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and hotel industry standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and efficiency.
  • Supervise the finance team, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Oversee cash management and banking relationships, including reconciliations.
  • Assist in capital expenditure planning and financial risk assessment.
  • Utilize financial software to streamline reporting and ensure accuracy in financial data.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA/ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g., IDS, Opera, SUN, SAP, or similar hotel finance software).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
