Accountant at Achyutam International Tanzania

Position : Accountant Location : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Management:

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and accounts.
• Ensure timely posting of transactions and reconciliation of accounts.
• Stock & Debtor Reconciliation.

Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with TRA regulations.
• Familiarity with TRA systems (e.g., eFiling, VAT returns).
• Stay updated on tax laws and ensure the organization meets all statutory obligations.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian financial regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.

Payroll Management:

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory deductions.
• Handling NSSF registration and withdrawals.

Banking and Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor cash flow and manage bank transactions (experience of handling bank transactions is mandatory).
• Reconcile bank statements monthly.

Audit Support:

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits.
• Implement audit recommendations as required.
