Overview
Trees for the Future (TREES) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation by training farmers in regenerative agriculture. In Tanzania, TREES implements its Forest Garden Approach, a four-year training program that teaches farmers to plant thousands of trees and various crops to restore degraded land, enhance food security, and increase income.
In December 2024, TREES partnered with the Tanzanian Ministry of Agriculture Training Institute (MATI) to extend its impact. This collaboration aims to train 5,400 farmers across Mwanza, Singida, and Tabora regions, empowering them with sustainable farming practices and improving their livelihoods.
Through these initiatives, TREES is making significant strides in restoring land, boosting food security, and empowering farmers in Tanzania.
