Overview
Geita Gold Mine (GGM) is one of the largest gold mines in Tanzania, located in the north-western part of the country near the town of Geita, approximately 120 km from Mwanza. It is an open-pit mine operated by Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML), a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, one of the world’s largest gold producers.
