Overview

Dimension Data, founded in 1983 in Johannesburg, South Africa, was a leading global IT services provider specializing in areas such as network integration, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed services. The company expanded its presence across Africa, the Middle East, and other regions, becoming a prominent technology partner for various organizations.

In 2010, Dimension Data was acquired by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) for $3.2 billion. This acquisition enabled Dimension Data to enhance its service offerings and global reach.

On July 1, 2019, Dimension Data rebranded as NTT Ltd., aligning with NTT’s global strategy to unify its technology services under a single brand. This transition aimed to provide clients with a broader range of solutions and a more integrated service experience.

In the Middle East and Africa, the Dimension Data brand continued to operate for some time post-rebranding. However, as of April 1, 2024, the company fully transitioned to the NTT DATA brand in these regions, completing the rebranding process and further integrating its services under the global NTT identity.

Today, NTT DATA offers a comprehensive portfolio of services, including digital infrastructure, hybrid cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and workplace transformation, serving clients worldwide with a focus on innovation and technological advancement.
