Overview

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is a non-profit scientific research organization dedicated to advancing human well-being, environmental conservation, and equity through its research on forests and landscapes. Established in 1993, CIFOR is headquartered in Bogor, Indonesia, and operates as one of the 15 centers within the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). In 2019, CIFOR merged with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), enhancing its focus on sustainable land use and food production.
