- Community Engagement and Livelihood Enhancement: By collaborating with local communities, the initiative has improved the livelihoods of over 20,000 coastal residents. - Pemba Channel Conservation Area (PECCA), Zanzibar: Covering approximately 90,500 hectares, PECCA is one of Tanzania’s most biodiverse marine regions. The Blue Alliance, in partnership with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, co-manages this area, focusing on sustainable fishing practices, habitat restoration, and community development.
- Banggai Conservation Area, Indonesia: This MPA network protects diverse marine species, including the endangered Banggai cardinalfish. Efforts here emphasize sustainable fishing and support for local communities through alternative livelihoods.
- North Mindoro MPA Network, Philippines: In this region, the Blue Alliance has established reef-positive businesses and livelihood programs, such as community-based aquaculture, to promote sustainable economic development alongside marine conservation.
