Deleting your account on Zoom Tanzania is straightforward, but the steps vary slightly depending on whether you’re an Employer, Candidate, or Marketplace Buyer/Seller. Here’s how to do it:

 

 


For Employers

  1. Log in to your Zoom Tanzania employer account.

  2. Visit your dashboard:

  3. On desktop, find the Settings menu on the left side and click it, On mobile, tap the menu icon (☰) at the top left and select Settingsor go directly here:

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page.

  5. Click “Deactivate Account”.

  6. Confirm the action.

 For Candidates/Professionals

  1. Log in to your candidate/professional account.

  2. Go to your dashboard:

  3. On desktop, use the left sidebar to find and click Settings. On mobile, tap the menu icon (☰) at the top left and select SettingsOr go directly to Here:

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Deactivate Account”.

  5. Confirm the action.

For Buyers & Sellers (Marketplace)

  1. Log in to your Marketplace account.

  2. Go to your profile page by: On mobile, tapping “My Profile”On desktop, clicking the top menu and selecting “My Profile”.

  3. Click “Edit Profile” or visit Here:

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the profile page.

  5. Click “Delete Account”.

  6. Confirm the action.

When I delete my account, will it also be removed from Google and search engines?

Deleting your account on Zoom Tanzania will remove your data from our platform, but it may take time for Google and other search engines to update and remove any cached versions. We recommend waiting a few days or weeks, or requesting removal directly through Google Search Console.

 

How long does it take for my data to be deleted from the website?

According to our policy, your account is deleted immediately once you confirm the deactivation process. However, some information may take longer to be removed from our systems. Your account will no longer be accessible after deletion.

Can I create another account after deleting mine?

Yes, you can create a new account at any time after deleting the old one.

Can I use the same email or information to create a new account?

Yes, you’re allowed to use the same email address or personal information, but it will be treated as a new account, with no data or history from the previous one.

Will deleting my account remove my ads or job posts?

Yes, all your listings, ads, or job posts associated with the deleted account will also be removed or become inaccessible. However, like other data, some content may take time to fully disappear from the site or third-party search results.

Can I recover my account after deletion?

No. Once you delete your account, it cannot be recovered. If you change your mind, you’ll need to create a new account from scratch.

Is there a way to temporarily deactivate my account instead of deleting it?

No. At the moment, Zoom Tanzania only offers permanent deletion. There is no option to temporarily deactivate or pause your account.
