Experienced program management expert with over 15 years of experiences working at different capacity in planning, managing and implementing community based Sexual & Reproductive Health programs (particularly HIV/AIDs, Family Planning and Maternal and Child. Sammy’s experience spans the areas of policy/budget advocacy, gender mainstreaming, community engagement, M&E and program management in the field of sexual and reproductive health for women including youth and adolescent. Have considerable experience in program management and strong relationships with various stakeholders (national and international). Sammy has demonstrated capability to translate a program vision to results by providing creative and strategic solution, ability to navigate a complex local political environment and implement programs that create relationships across sectors and local community authorities and structures. Sammy has proven experience on evidence based SMART advocacy approaches in financing and policy for health sector. Sammy has been extensively involved in working with multicounty teams in providing technical assistance in the development of Costed Strategic plans for Family Planning programs in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Uganda and South Sudan. Sammy is dependable team leader who motivates, supports, and inspires higher performance and cohesive team relationships, who enjoys working with colleagues from diverse cultures and disciplines.
